Merry Christmas! Blogging on Santa?

Who's blogging about Christmas? How about Santa Claus?

Sure, he knows when you've been sleeping and when you're awake. Maybe he even knows what you're blogging about.

Why not make sure readers know too, by leaving a blog-link comment on this post, pointing our audience to your Christmas posts?

Blog away on Halloween and the Headless Horseman

Giddy-up! It’s almost Halloween. Trick or treaters are coming up with costumes. Homes and shops are draped in spooky decorations.

Are you blogging about this autumn holiday?

Here are a few Halloween keywords to set your writing gear in motion. (Have you ever read Washington Irving’s famous spooky story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, published in 1820?)

Improvise with this blog prompt

Having recently toured a traveling art exhibit of the paintings of Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky, I thought I’d select one of his pieces for this blog prompt.

Take a look at Kandinsky’s Improvisation 9.

What do you see? What ideas does this bring to mind? Does it jump-start your creativity for writing something for your own blog site?

Here are the blog prompts:

The works of Wassily Kandinsky (1866 – 1944) demonstrated elements of several artistic genres, including Expressionism, Fauvism, Abstract. What’s your favorite?

Memorial Day - Remembering the cost of freedom

Freedom is anything but free. We are reminded of that on patriotic occasions like Memorial Day.

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936 ), the Nobel Prize-winning author who penned The Jungle Book, was British, not American. But his famous quotation about freedom still rings true:

All we have of freedom,
all we use or know -
This our fathers
bought for us
long and long ago.

That statement may be found in Kipling's The Old Issue (1899).

Does that prompt you to write your own blog post or online piece for Memorial Day?

If so, c'mon back with a linked comment, so our readers can find it.
